How to choose doors and windows

1. The appearance should be beautiful: the surface paint film of wooden doors and windows should be smooth and bright, without quality defects such as falls, bubbles, wrinkles, etc., and there are no corrosion points, dead joints, and breakage; The wood used in the door and window cover should be coordinated with the wood and color of the door and window sash, and the color difference between the veneer and the wood line should not be large, and the tree species should be the same.

2. The door and window sash should be square, not warped and deformed, and consistent with the door and window frame: if the gap between the door and window sash and the frame is large, it is mainly because the installation is not accurate or the door and window frame is not perpendicular to the ground, the door and window sash can be removed and re-planed; If the door and window frame is not vertical, the gasket should be straightened in the frame plate.

3. The hinge should be accurately positioned and installed firmly: if the hinge is not corrected, it will cause the door and window sash to be inconsistent with the frame cover, and the door and window opening and closing will not be smooth. You can screw one screw on each hinge first, then adjust the fit between the door and window sash and the frame, and then tighten all the screws after adjusting and repairing. If the hinge screws are short, or the screws are nailed in at once, and the screws are not screwed, or the screws are skewed, it will cause the doors and windows to smash. The suitable screws should be replaced, the screws must be straight when the screws are attached, the screws should be driven into 1/3 first, and the rest should be screwed in.

4. The opening and locking of the door lock should be smooth, and the two parts locked on the door leaf and the door frame should be consistent: if the lock is not fitted, it will cause the door to open and close freely. The deadbolt plate should be removed, the tongue groove should be repaired with a chisel, and the position of the door frame deadbolt should be adjusted before installation. In addition, the opening direction of the door should also meet the requirements.

5. There should be base materials inside the door and window covers: when the window covers are made of blockboard or MDF, the base plate should be fixed on the keel of the base layer of the window frame, and then nail the lines: the door cover should be made of wood After the frame is made, planed and straightened, and then assembled and installed on the wall, and then covered with the base plate and veneer. Knock on the side panels of the door and window sleeve with your hands, if there is a hollow drum sound, it means that there is no base board such as blockboard at the bottom layer, and it should be dismantled and redone.

When buying doors and windows, it is not only necessary to look good, but also to examine whether the edges and corners are square from different angles, and whether the basic materials are strong. Only when you buy it is comprehensive, it will be easy to install.
